Begin by cooking pasta in salted water for about 7 minutes.
In the meantime, begin to prepare the sauce and chicken. Cut chicken thigh into bite sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Using cooking spray, saute the garlic, mushrooms, and red onion in a pan. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add in the chicken pieces and cook a single layer, about 3 minutes on each side.
Once the chicken is done, change heat to low and add in the sauce. Save some pasta water, drain the pasta, and add the pasta into the sauce, adding in pasta sauce as needed until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
Remove from heat, top with parmesan cheese and basil, and enjoy your delicious low calorie chicken pasta!
