Garlic Cilantro Shrimp

After going to Wing Night Wednesdays at a local San Francisco restaurant, Paina, I was inspired to make this garlic-cilantro shrimp after eating one too many of their delicious garlic-cilantro wings. The mouthwatering garlic-cilantro sauce was such a great complement to this juicy shrimps. Best of all, this entire meal was less than 200 calories. Who knew such great flavor could come with so little calories?

Instructions

  • Gather the shrimp & marinade ingredients. Peel the shrimp if needed and let marinade for 5-15 minutes.
  • While the shrimp is marinading, start putting together the garlic cilantro sauce. Gather the ingredients for the sauce and blend in a blender until mixed thoroughly. If you don’t have a blender, you can also mince and mix the ingredients.
  • Saute the shrimps in a skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp begins to curl. Then begin to mix in the garlic cilantro sauce and mix thoroughly.
  • Remove from heat and serve with side(s) of choice! Personally, I love brussel sprouts, but broccoli, spinach, and/or rice could also be great complements.
